Today in math we reviewed some more exercises on estimating and problem solving. After completing several examples together on the board the class worked with a partner to solve a math problem and create their own problem that could be resolved using an estimation. They will share these with the class tomorrow and we will solve the problems that the students created using the strategies that we have learned.
In language arts we reviewed our word work and short answer questions for chapters 4-8 and I read chapter 9. Annemarie learns a lot in this chapter and from her Uncle Henrik. Ask your child for details.
The class had STEAM and music today.
In social studies the students learned about the importance of the Nile river and how it influenced the life of the Nubian society.
